David Sowry

University of Pennsylvania Law School

David graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in May 2024. During law school, he was an editor on the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board. Prior to law school, he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and worked both as a strategy analyst and teacher. David would like to thank Professor Herbert Hovenkamp for his oversight while writing the article, and his family, friends, and partner for their love and support.

Philip Young

Paul M. Hebert Law Center Louisiana State University

Philip is a third-year law student at Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert School of Law. After earning his B.S. in Biology from the University of Louisiana, he worked in the medical industry for seven years, where he aided physicians in monitoring patients’ nervous systems during surgery. Having always been intrigued by the legal field, however, Philip decided to pursue a second career. While at LSU, Philip interned for the Honorable David C. Joseph in the Western District of Louisiana, served on the Student Bar Association’s Ethics Committee, and is currently a Senior Associate on the Louisiana Law Review. After graduation, Philip intends to join the Lafayette office of Kean Miller, LLP, where he will practice in both the Labor and Employment and Maritime litigation groups.

Max Rieumont

University of South Carolina School of Law

Max is a third-year law student at the University of South Carolina School of Law where he was recently awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for being the highest scoring student in Advanced Legal Writing. Prior to law school, Max graduated from the University of Tampa, where he obtained a B.S. and M.S. in Entrepreneurship, earning cum laude honors and highest honors (4.0/4.0 GPA), respectively. Throughout the summer of 2024, Max served as a Research Assistant for Professor Emily Winston, studying the economics and social impacts of business law. Upon graduation, Max plans on returning to the Tampa Bay area where he intends to begin his legal career.
