GOVERNORS

Susan Wan has served as the only Executive Director the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers has had since its inception in 1996.  Her official title designation came in 1998, but she has been part of the organization’s history since it was first incorporated by founding Fellow Stephen Tallent.  As a legal secretary for fifteen years prior, her vast experience dealing with lawyers, deadlines and details came in helpful in the early days of the College’s existence. Since then, Susan has watched the organization grow from the first class of 125 Fellows to its current membership of over 1500 Fellows from the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.  She enjoys working with and collaborating with College Fellows and credits their enthusiasm with keeping her job fun and interesting for so long.  She has been reminded by many that she is the institutional memory of the College. Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from George Washington University.  She is married and has one adult son.  Susan would prefer to be at the beach any day of the week.
