Lori Ecker represents employees in cases arising under local, state, and federal antidiscrimination laws and in matters involving the Family and Medical Leave Act, noncompete agreements, severance agreements, employment contracts, and employment torts. She also serves as an arbitrator, mediator, and investigator of employment disputes.

Ms. Ecker is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. She is listed in Who’s Who in American Law and Martindale-Hubbell’s Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. She was selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and was named the Best Lawyers 2014-15 Employment Law – Individuals “Lawyer of the Year” in Chicago. She is also an Illinois Super Lawyer and a Leading Illinois Attorney. Ms. Ecker is the Employee Co-Chair of the Social Media Committee of the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law. She is the immediate past-Employee Co-Chair of the Employment Rights and Responsibilities Committee of the Section of Labor and Employment Law; a member of both the National Employment Lawyers Association and its local affiliate, NELA/Illinois, of which she is a past President and a founding Executive Board Member; she is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, for which she served as a member of the Labor & Employment Law Section Council from 2005-2011; and a member of the Chicago Bar Association, for which she served as Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Committee during the 1997-98 bar year. Ms. Ecker is a member of WPATH and is Chair of its Legal Issues Committee.
