  • Walt Auvil (Parkersburg, WV) received the high compliment of recognition through a letter to the editor in The Parkersburg News & Sentinel. Recognized for his hard work and dedication by a retired attorney in the Parkersburg community (Richard Hayhurst), Walt was praised for exceling in an area that “was being considerably underserved by the bar in general” and for providing employees seeking advice on a workplace issue “a place to go for a sympathetic and knowledgeable assessment of their rights and remedies.” You can read the full letter by click here.
  • H. Lane Dennard (Madison, GA) was presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who’s Who. Mr. Dennard “celebrates many years’ experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field.”
  • Barbara Fitzgerald (Los Angeles, CA) was selected as Legislative Woman of the Year by California Assembly member Lisa Calderon and as one of 11 women named the 2024 Distinguished Women of the Year from the 56th California Assembly District. The annual recognition honors women from across the district for their contributions to the community and their leadership in their respective fields.
  • Bruce Miller (Southfield, MI) received an honorary Doctor of Laws Honoris Causa from Oakland University on April 27 during the spring commencement ceremonies. Mr. Miller was selected in recognition of his many outstanding achievements as an attorney who has worked tirelessly for the labor and civil rights movement for over sixty years.
  • Mark Gaston Pearce (Washington, DC) was featured in the ABA Journal in an article highlighting his use of art and law “to draw attention to workers’ rights.” The article, “Labor of Love: Mark Gaston Pearce’s Art,” is part of the Members Who Inspire series which profiles exceptional ABA Members. Read the full article by clicking here.   • Cynthia Nance (Fayetteville, AR) was featured in an article appearing in ALM|Law.com which focused on first-time female law deans. Appointed in 2006, Cyndi was the first Black woman Dean at the University of Arkansas School of Law, and one of only four in the country. Now there are 28 Black women serving as law deans. Dean Nance talks about her interview experience, her mentors and the pride she feels in watching those who have come after her. Dean Nance also testified on Capitol Hill March 12th as the witness for the democratic subcommittee members of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce regarding the Dartmouth Basketball players’ historic vote to unionize with the SEIU.
  • Jeremy Glenn (Chicago, IL) and Anna Wermuth (Chicago, IL), both partners at Cozen O’Connor, were recently named by Crain’s Chicago Business magazine as “Notable Leaders in Employment and Labor Law.” In addition, Anna was recently named by Business Today as one of the 2023 “Top 10 Impactful Labor and Employment Lawyers in Illinois.” Jeremy also received further accolades from Crain’s as one of its “Notable GenX Leaders in the Law” in each of the past three years.
